CNC Controller

The CNC Controller is the brain of the CNC machine; it controls the motion path of the CNC machine tool and is the most indispensable part of the CNC machine tool.

Different brands and different versions of CNC Controller each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Apart from the system developed by ourselves, we also provide the mainstream CNC control systems currently on the market for selection.

The CNC Controller we provide

Socay CNC control system

Socay

With more than ten years of R&D experience, it best fits the structure and operation logic of the machine tools under Socay, and has the technical support of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the technical backing of the Chinese industrial hardware field.

Mitsubishi

Originating from Japan, it is a dual-use flagship product for military and civil purposes, possessing ultra-high adaptability in the fields of spare parts and mold manufacturing. It conforms to ergonomics, is simple to operate, has fine functions, and is easy to learn.

FANUC

The computing power is extremely strong, the efficiency is extremely high, and the compatibility is the strongest, adapting to all types of CNC machines and possessing the most comprehensive control panel.

SIEMENS

Originating from Germany, it possesses the strongest stability and the lowest failure rate, with the world’s top controller. Both its computing power and precision are top-tier. As an established enterprise in the industrial field, it has achieved extremely high accomplishments in controller calculation logic.

Heidenhain CNC Control System

HEIDENHAIN

In the controller field, acting as “God’s brain,” it almost never makes mistakes. It is the top 1 among global controllers, deeply plowed in the field of multi-axis precision manufacturing, achieving simultaneous control of up to ten axes.

SYNTEC CNC control system

SYNTEC

An established Taiwanese CNC operating system with decades of R&D experience, featuring comprehensive functions, high cost-effectiveness, wide adaptability, and a cheap price.

FAQ of CNC Controller

Which controller should I choose?

For cost-effectiveness, use Socay and Syntec.
For workpiece quality, use Mitsubishi.
For mold quality, use Mitsubishi and Fanuc.
For ultimate functionality and quality, use Siemens and Heidenhain.

I make molds but have a limited budget; which CNC Controller should I choose?

Use Mitsubishi m80A or Socay.

How long can a controller last?

With no disassembly, repairs, or water damage, it can last for over 20 years.

I haven’t heard of the Socay system before; how is its completeness/maturity?

Socay’s self-developed system boasts over a decade of R&D experience. While it may not be as well-known in the general market as giants like FANUC, it is a system that undergoes deep, one-to-one customization and optimization specifically for the physical structure, rigidity characteristics, and operating logic of Socay’s machine tools. This means that when running Socay’s own machines, the integration and compatibility of the hardware and software are extremely high, eliminating the problem of poor compatibility between general-purpose systems and non-standard machine bodies.

Guideway

The guideway is the track for every moving axis of the machine tool and is a core performance component. It determines the upper limit of the cutting force and the upper limit of the table load capacity of the CNC machine tool.

The guideway includes the rail and the slider; the rail restricts the moving direction, and the slider affects the axis moving speed and the load capacity of the table. We provide two currently mainstream guideways: one is the linear guide, and the other is the box way. According to different machining requirements, different guideways are configured on the machine to obtain performance with different characteristics. Consult us to obtain more professional knowledge.

The types of guideways we provide

Linear guideway

linear guides

The slider of the linear guide has a large number of rollers inside, featuring low friction and fast speed during movement; due to its fast responsiveness, it is very suitable for high-speed machining.

Box way

Box ways

The slider and rail of the box way are rigidly connected, and the cross section looks just like a square block; it has a large contact area and stronger rigidity, capable of having a higher load capacity, making it suitable for heavy cutting.

FAQ of Guideway

Which is better, linear guides or box ways?

Pursue part machining efficiency with linear guides, pursue mold machining quality with box ways.

What other options are available besides these two guideways?

There are no other options; currently, the mainstream ballscrew and guideways are precisely these two types.

How to choose the right guideway specifications based on the workpiece

Molds use xx-12, parts use xx-16.

Spindle

The spindle is the core power component of the CNC machine, and the parameters of the spindle to a large extent affect the performance of the machine.

The spindle speeds we provide range from 6,000 rpm to 300,000 rpm, and the driving methods cover belt drive, direct drive, and electric drive. Our machines can match the appropriate spindle according to different machining requirements. If you do not know how to match them, you can consult our engineers.

The spindle types we provide

Belt Drive Spindle

Belt spindle

The belt spindle possesses high torque and powerful heavy cutting capability, while having low maintenance costs, and being stable, reliable, with a long comprehensive service life.

Direct spindle

Direct spindle

The direct-drive spindle usually “directly connects” (direct coupling) the spindle and the motor through a coupling. The benefit of doing so is that the power is more direct, the efficiency is higher, and the vibration is lower.

Motorized Spindle

Electric spindle

The core motor of the motorized spindle is the spindle itself. The advantage brought by the “motor-spindle integration” is extremely high speed, while possessing high responsiveness; because there is no intermediate structure, it can bring excellent precision control.
